Agreed Harry about the singing and I think my favourite was 'Don't Make My Baby Blue or I Want You To Want Me'.

When John Farrar joined the group he brought a whole new paradigm to the singing. His background was from a Melbourne group named 'The Strangers'. He sang in a falsetto voice. The Shads saw him in Melbourne on one of their many tours to Australia.

As we also saw later, he became a successful and prolific songwriter being well known for writing many of fellow Aussie Olivia Newton-John's (ONJ) world wide hits.

ONJ and Farrar's wife singer Pat Carroll, were friends from the sixties and the Melbourne TV and 'beat' music scene.

A very talented man is Mr Farrar.
