Hello Cordelia,

I like to have similar 'talks'. It is useful as it gives me room to manouvre when I ultimately get round to deciding their fate. It's important to always let the child give their version of events. If I were to promise a spanking then I have to give it or seem like I'm backing down. A talk allows me to listen as well. The vast majority of times I will spank, but on occasion, I can decide on a different course without breaking my word.
