Oh, that is good that she had already been thinking about making the change from spoon to brush. I do find it interesting that it's a good chance that it will be yourself that gives him his first hairbrush spanking than his Mommy. However, that has certainly happened a few times with children I have babysat, as well. Or where I actually spank them with a hairbrush (with approval) but their mother still spank them at home with a spoon or a similar lighter implement.

Where I do agree with Becky, wooden spoons can certainly be as serious as hairbrushes, it really comes down what kind you purchase. Where with myself, my wooden spanking spoon is not light or small in any sort of way, the head is relatively large as well as thick. My hairbrush, however, is still a bit bigger. And I find that usually to be the case, where a good, solid wooden hairbrush is going to be bigger (and more fearsome) than most spoons. So I agree with you, it will likely be quite a shock for Jayden when he receives the hairbrush for the first time.

Cherie, obviously you aren't going to want to let us know every time you need to spank Jayden, but please at least give us a full report the first time you need to put him over your knee. :)
