I usually spank in the living room but sometimes I have done it in the kitchen or other rooms.

There is usually a discussion with me sitting and the child that's gonna get spanked standing in front of me, then I tell them to pull their pants down and turn over my knee. Once they're across my lap with their bare butt up, I spank them. A typical spanking is usually by hand, but on a very few occasions I've used my hairbrush. It's rarely ever more than a dozen or so smacks, then I let them up. Most of the time, they will go to their bedrooms to cry, sulk and so forth and I give them a few minutes, then, I will go back to their room and sit and talk with them. During our talk, there are usually apologies, cuddling and forgiveness. Then it's over. No dragging things out, or additional punishment. Once it's over, it's over. The talking and cuddling with them after a spanking is honestly as much for me as it is them. Because I genuinely feel bad about having to spank one of them. I know from my experiences on the receiving end how bad it felt getting spankings. So having to give one to one of my kiddos really brings me down sometimes. So I can honestly say, making up with them after is as much for me as it is them.

It may not be as detailed as some people like to share in here. but that's pretty much it. My kids are great and honestly rarely get into trouble. Fortunately
