"Eirath's the prettiest blue I've seen!" he exclaims. "I guess we've got the two best dragons on Pern, huh? And my sister will no doubt say she's got the best green."

*The message, T'gan?* Chuth reminds him.

"Oh, right. Come 'ere, Kestor," he calls to the firelizard. Kestor perches on his shoulder, watching inqusitively, as he writes a quick message. Tying it to the little brown's leg, he gives the 'lizard a mental image of Keroon Hold. "Go there, Kestor," he says, shoving the brown off his shoulder. Kestor squawks, then takes off between.

*Ask her if she heard about there being two queens. I want to know more about the queens,* Chuth commands.

"Chuth wants to know if you heard about there being two queens," T'gan says. "He's very curious. I can't blame him, since they might be his mates someday. It'll be something for your book, at least!" He laughs. "I heard about it -- or rather, saw it -- secondhand, from Kestor's mind."

"I saw one of them," a female voice volunteers. Akema jogs up, followed by her dragon, with her firelizard perched on Laffranth's head. The dragon and firelizard provide a striking contrast, with the pale emerald 'lizard framed against the forest-green dragon. "I'm not sure which; I think it was the littler one, though. Can you believe it? Two queens? I've heard stories about it happening, but I thought they were only stories!"

Laffranth butts her head against Ameka's side, nearly knocking the girl over. *Congratulate her on the blue, Akema. That's why we came, remember? Then you can feed me.*

^Again?^

*I am hungry. Sleeping is hard work. Walking here was harder.*

^If you say so....^ "I just heard about your blue, Angele. Congrats! What did you tell T'gan his name was?"

*Eirath,* Laffranth prompts. *I listen.*

"Oh, right, Eirath. He's gorgeous!"
