Realizing that, of course, she was moving steadily downward, she tried something new. She raised her wings far above her body for a split-second, before pushing them down quickly. The first try nearly threw her off balance, making her wobble to the left. After righting herself, she tried again, this time staying somewhat steadier. She tried, over and over, her rider's mental praise and encouragment helping greatly.
