With a grin as her hair flies in her face, Evelene directs Palirth to soar down to the Bowl. Once there, they turn. Eve closes her eyes, grasps the straps tightly, and pictures the Rim in her mind. ^Take us between, Palirth,^ she murmurs, saying the age-old words without hesitation. The green dragon does so, and the shocking cold of between is heart-stopping. The clear picture of the Rim stays in her mind. She can't feel Palirth under her! I am here with you. I always will be. Eve calms just as, mere seconds later, they emerge in the bright sunlight, near the Rim. Eve lets out a whoop of joy, and Palirth bugles. They had done it!*
