The green looked disgruntled about something, but both decided it best not to argue to the WeyrlingMaster. Kiarath was about to take off, when Ralkene told her to get a running start. Asking why, she was told that it would cause strain on her rider's back, if they were to move straight up. Moving at a fast trot, she leapt into the air, beating her wings. Ralkene slid backwards, almost hitting her dragon's back ridges, but caught the strap of the harness and pulled herself upright. They moved unsteadily at first, dragon unused to her rider's weight. After several minutes, they managed to right themselves, flying in large circles nearly 20 feet above the ground. At a mention from Ralkene, Kiarath moved farther away from the others. A collision now would be extremely painful, and more than likely would prove fatal. Both were filled with a deep joy at flying, together, for the first time. It was different than anything they had ever felt, a feeling of happiness, fear, and power.
