R'ven and Massath walk into the Barracks. ~Looks like lessons haven't started up again yet,~ Massath observes quietly, unable to keep the disappointment from her tone.

R'ven pats her on her neck. -That's all right, they'll start again soon. Want to go to our weyr?-

She shakes her head. ~No, let's stay here. Maybe someone will talk to us,~ she adds hopefully. She flops down by a cluster of large boulders. ~Look, seats!~

R'ven grins. -Quite a clever wit you have, dragonlady,- he tells her, sitting down on a boulder. Athena and Vey curl up in his lap. Kree, finding herself without anyplace to sit, lets out a musical complaint.

Massath looks at the little 'lizard. ~Come here, little one, and perch on me. Entertain me a bit with your singing.~ Kree trills happily and swoops over, landing on Massath's head. There she sits down and begins to croon softly in joy. Massath closes her eyes and listens with pleasure to the firelizard's beautiful, liquid song.

R'ven smiles. -You seem to like Kree more than the other two.-

~She is a green, like me,~ Massath replies. ~She has better manners than either of those two. She is smarter than Vey and sweeter than Athena. Becausae they are bigger, they get to boss her around. Besides, she has the most lovely voice, and an incredible willingness to sing for me.~

R'ven looks surprised for a moment, then nods slowly. -Good point. For some reason it never ocurred to me before that you liked music so much. But I really shouldn't be surprised. Beside, Kree does have a lovely voice.-
