My name is Travis, and you are using my wife and my mother’s identity in some sick, twisted, obsessive fan fiction that has caused my mother considerable grief and stress. She is not a young woman, and her online experience has been severely hampered and harmed by you and your creepy behavior. You have been doing this for years, but have increased this as of late, with posts on this board and others inferring this and that about our lives, about her life.
I have asked you nicely over the past few months to please cease and desist from this behavior. You ignore these requests, and what’s more, you double-down on them, delving into this bogus persona that you’ve adapted from our lives, and you even say as much in posts above, where you insist that “Peggy” from “Maine” is “a different one,” which in this post above you acknowledge you’d never heard of. If you’ve never heard of her, then how would you just so happen to have a son named “Travis,” a daughter-in-law named “Shannon,”—both of whom you have identified as “a different one, not the original”---and pet bulldogs with names quite similar to her own dogs? Sorry, that is not a coincidence; that is willfully pretending to be someone you are not. There’s a term for that, and it’s called identity theft, which so happens to be a felony.
Consider this a formal notice, that this is your FINAL WARNING. I have consulted attorney Ruth Carter , who specializes in online harassment and cyberstalking, and she has documented all of these posts with screen captures, IP traces, and conversations with moderators and hosting experts who assure us that they know exactly who you are and where you can be found, and that legal remedies are at our disposal. We’ve tired of this, and we had hoped that you would LEAVE US ALONE. You’ve given us no choice; we know our legal options, and we are willing to pursue them.
You have two choices: you can either step up right now, apologize for your years of harassment, bullying, and identity theft, and declare publicly that you will leave my family alone and never use or utter our names again….or you can continue down this sick path of yours and face the ramifications and consequences of your actions. Rest assured, one of these paths will be much more pleasant than the other.
