When I told my daughter about this she just giggled and said "that's the way to go but bare feet look so much better in formal situations than flipflops!"
After which she went to file and polish her toenails. She spends some time every day to keep her feet nice and beautiful and I think they look lovely and I couldn't think of a situation when anyone would be offended by their sight!
