As I said earlier, I wonder about the mom. :( Parents getting old sucks. Expecially when you are close to them. I am going through that right now myself.
Also a lot of things pop up that can make working with the public almost impossible. You have to be the best actor/actress ever to totally convince everyone, you are nice, not racists, not narricistic, not discriminating, etc. It's tough. Maybe it is finally getting to him.
My first thought is his mom, though. :(
