Well, I don't like that either. I wasn't the one that posted that comment, and I think it was wrong. It's things like that, that make others turn away from God. Sadly, too many people look to people (Christians) to prove their is a God instead of the Bible. We all have both good and bad in us and have that choice of killing, stealing, etc, or helping others, caring, understanding, etc.. Too many look at how a loser Christian instead seeing the good ones. God could have made us a puppet, but he didn't. He gave us choices.
As I said, I used to stay away from the church, but still believed. But I was always thinking hypocrites and God doesn't care. After actually looking up things of God's power and Love, reading the Bible, and hearing Sermons that really explain things that didn't make sense before, it's clearer than day now. I have wonderfully caring people at church that hug me, one gave me $20 when I was down and out, that laugh, that cry when their lives turn to hell and are comforted. A minister that hugs everyone, prayers with you directly when you feel you can't go on. Etc... This Open door church is not Catholic, Methodist, just open to all. A lot of old and very young people go there. No one looks down on anyone. We wear whatever we want, jeans, tee shirts.
Yet, Again, there's those that drive people from the real God. My best friend doesn't go to church. She did until the Catholic pastor got caught molesting a younger girl. Their out there for sure. I guess Christianity really needs to be looked at in a non -prejudice way. It's like hating all black or Latinos because they are. Think twice before hating us. 😉 you are entitled to what you feel is right. Doesn't make you a bad person.
