When he got back (presumably to San Francisco).
The discussion is really about that "we" not him following her on instagram.
Can she be friends with Kenny even if she isn't the girlfriend of his friend anymore? Has such a thing ever happened before in the history of the world?
Maybe he knows her new boyfriend so that she can just say we and not have to make it clear to him on instagram that she didn't mean her and her ex boyfriend.
Seems to just be people here who think that she has to mean Chris.
