Chris likes privacy. He wouldn't say if he went out with her if protecting relationship. Maybe it's a "so what" as long as she doesn't announce where they hang out? She's been out with him so let them be. Look at the speculation here. No one has confessed to posting the boyfriend comment yet, so maybe it's a clue for wannabes or hangers on.

It takes all sorts. I say he likes familiarity. Who are we to be judge and jury?
