Zaxor insulted the honour of the Greatest Metropolis In The West by questioning its parentage:

I'm surprised that JIM didn't jump all over that one! Sah, you have in-SULT-ed the great City of Maple Ridge. Refer to
http://www.mapleridge.org
As it says on the home page: "A safe and liveable community for our present and future citizens..." (It doesn't say anything about getting squashed like a bug during showdowns between super heroes and super villains, but I think they try to avoid playing up that side of civic life.)

Of course since I can never remember whether Boise is in Iowa or Idaho, I never have any problem with anything geographical that TA describes in TGC. (Hey, don't look at me like that! At least I don't get it confused with Illinois!)

I think Mayor Al Hogarth might take exception to his new fictional status 8^> . I also think you're thinking of the Mayor of Pitt Meadows (rather than Maple Ridge) from Deep Magic Blues, who may or may not be fictional... actually, no he's not:
http://www.pittmeadows.bc.ca/government/general/mun-dir.html

Although since JIM never referred to him by name, it's not necessarily Don MacLean (wasn't he the guy who sang the original version of "American Pie"? 8^> ) who was in office at the time of DMB.

Don't worry, I thought that ICBC was fictional at first too... 8^>

"Exempted"? And you were worried about "funnily"? 8^>
