Now, now, TA, I would expect better from you. Here I thought you were this great and all-powerful webmaster-slash-programmer, and then you go and do something silly like misinterpret site statistics.

What most likely happened is this: you announced to the world -- well, okay, rhod, but we'll call it the world as it's the center of such -- that you were launching a new text-based serial. Only seven of the regulars (well, maybe six of the regulars and one lurker) decided to go and see what deviated ramblings you came up with, and all seven liked what they saw -so much- that they kept coming back time and time again just to have a look-see. Of course, this refreshing happened on different days, so your statistic capturing program attributed all these ever-so-slightly-different IP addresses as brand new users, totalling them up to fifty-something or other.

Then Episode 2 comes out, and all seven of your loyal readers come out of the woodwork and, having learned from last time that they'll want to read it again and again, saved it as a text file to their hard drives. Thus the astoundingly low count, which you misinterpreted as, well, something else entirely.

Anyway, you should talk. JIM only gets three readers or so (and two of them are me, but shhh!), so you've got him beat by at least four. Keep up the good work.
