Subject: My Wife's Punishment

My wife and I have practiced DD throughout our 27 year marriage. She doesn't get spanked much anymore because she understands and follows the rules.

Today, she backed into another car in a parking lot causing minor damage to both cars. No one was hurt, but this was carelessness on her part which is dangerous when driving. She has had previous incidents of carelessness involving the car for which she was punished.

Worse, she did not exchange insurance information with the other driver. She knows that is the required procedure, but just didn't do it.

After inspecting the damage and asking her about what happened, I had her stand naked in the corner for one hour. Then I gave her a spanking with the hairbrush. She was then sent to bed without supper.

It would be appropriate for me to take away her car keys for at least a week, but that is not practical given her responsibilities. Instead, I have put parental controls on her phone so that it can only be used in emergencies, to contact me, or the people she needs to for her volunteer work. She cannot use Facebook or surf the net.

I have not decided how long to impose the phone restriction, or whether to give her another spanking for this.

How would your husbands handle this situation?
