Subject: How to tell they are Dom/sub?

Hi. I'm single. Looking for a gf. Im loving and affectionate. I have a strong dominant side as well. But I dont need to have a DD relationship. My last gf, of 13 years, was vanilla.
I just moved to a new county. Seems like there are some sub women here. Yesterday, at the laundrymat, I complimented a nice looking redhead on her "tatoo". She answered: What tatoo?
Turned out it was a real collar, that she had purchased at Walmart for about 3 dollars. She said that it was a young girls necklace/collar.
So my question is, Are there ways to tell if a woman is sub?
I know that it is impossible to know how a woman is in the privacy of her own home.
Still, I think that there are some clues, such as tatoos that resemble collars, and body jewelry on face, such as studs. Maybe belly rings?
Anything else?
I intend to start dating here. What is the best way to bring up the subject of DD?
And what about Dom men? Any clues that I should be giving out? Like handcuffs hanging off the rear view mirror? (Just kidding).
