Look SS Lanier is the coach. No he wasn't the guy I wanted but that's life. My issue with you is that you try to discredit everything I say whether it be positive, negative, or even neutral claiming I don't like Lanier. Don't you think that's just a little unfair and immature?

In fact right now, I'd say he's one of the best if not the best recruiters Siena has ever had.

Is he the best bench coach definitely not. Is he learning, improving, yes.

Will he move up and on if this success continues in another year or two, probably. He's the third in a series of coaches punching their ticket at a quality mid level program. Obviously, the Administration likes the strategy. That's great, I accept that BUT I don't agree with it.


Do I feel we should be bringing in a quality point guard? Definitely, why we're not puzzles me.

Did I have an issue with Cantrell Fletcher not making it at Siena, yes I did because I knew the kid was very special. Haddix could tell people how special since they won the Philly Catholic League together. In fact, look how everyone is so taken with Mike's production. We'd be undefeated with Cantrell. But obviously Cantrell wasn't mature enough to handle a college environment.

I'll give Lanier the benefit of the doubt on Cantrell. But who did he replace him with, Mark Price. Where's Mark Price today? Lanier has chased him off for many of the same reasons he chased off Cantrell. I'm sure you don't agree but Price is on Lanier. When he brought him in he gushed about what a great kid he was and how well he knew him, and how in the right situation and with support he would succeed. Well he's gone, Lanier was wrong or not willing to continue to take the heat.

Now we gave point guard #3 SS, Jamal Jackson who starts the season with bone spurs in one of his elbows that impairs his shooting. I find it very hard to believe the coach didn't know about the bone spurs before the season started. Bone spurs just don't happen it's a progressive problem. Assuming he did, Why didn't they address it? Despite that the team starts 5-1 but he gets benched because he doesn't produce the numbers individually but in the all important win and loss column he has produced. I'd have him starting and bring Jordan off the bench as my 6th man. Just like the old Celtics with HONDO.

We're going to have a solid season this year. As I said the other day, the current three game stretch would tell the story. (Providence, Manhattan, and Iona) Win all three and we could win 20 for the season, win two, and I believe we'll win around 18 games, lose all 3 and we're a 15-16 win team.

There you have it SS, my thoughts on where the teams at and where Lanier's at. I'm sure you'll disagree 100% but that's fine with me. You have your opinions, I have mine.
