This has been an excellent thread, by the way. Kudos to all of you.

Here's another reason to take the booing elsewhere... how easy do you think the coaching job becomes when you don't feel comfortable in your home gym? C'mon guys... lighten up just a bit. I am not saying don't have hopes for success in Albany, but to get this way over a midseason funk is out of hand. Keep this up and Siena College becomes a lousy place to do your job. Try to offer constructive criticisms from your vantage point. Don't fool yourself into thinking words here don't find ears. It's a powerful pulpit - use it wisely and use your heads. And the first day that the Siena crowd spends less time booing bad calls and (now) booing coaches or God-help players, there will be a bit more energy to applaud the good things that happen out there.

Keep the chins up and enjoy the rest of the season. It's the struggles that make this game what it is. And save your judgment on Lanier's job this season until after it, it will save you a lot of headaches.
