Everone wants to "coddle the kids" and watch out for the kids and be fair to the kids, Blah, blah,blah!

All of this crap while in the background, the kids family, friends, contacts are all working to improve the deal. Even after verbal commits in many cases.

It is a two way street. So to be upfront and honest and tell them, 1st come 1st serve sounds good to me.
