Tony, I don't know what all the fuss is about. Matt Brady is the #1 Assistant at St Joseph's, he is as you know a member of the Siena Hall of Fame and holds several individual records while a basketball player at Siena. This makes it relevant to Siena Basketball. Further, he has been in the mix every time we've had a coaching change over the past 6-7 years. I just feel it's important to keep everyone appraised of how well he's doing so when we have another opening everyone is well acquainted with the success he has enjoyed at St Joseph's.

As I've said on this board several times, he's the number 1 recruiter at St Joseph's, he is the shooting and guard coach also. The success St Joseph's has had speaks for itself. How many schools with their resources have been in the Top 25, 3 years running? Not many.

If we ever change our philosophy on the criteria for a Head Coach at Siena, Matt Brady is the obvious choice. Wouldn't it be nice to have a coach that has true personal PASSION for Siena and our Program. A guy that wants to settle in and set some records and closely identifies with local fans and alumni.

Say what you want about Iona and Jeff Ruland but Iona rewarded one of their own and it has paid huge dividends. Year in year out they're in the mix for the NCAA's plus they've had the continuiy in a program we so sorely lack.

Something tells me also with a Matt Brady coaching at Siena we'd have an excellent point guard every year, an offensive system, and larger more enthusiastic crowds at the Knick.

Just my $.02 cents as some like to say. By the way this will be my last post until Selection Sunday when we'll all find out where St Joseph's and Matt Brady are going. I hope lightning strikes twice and the Saints are in also.
