I have seen Smith in the Gauchos environment, many times. And if you didn't notice, I agreed with you that he is much more effective in up-tempo situations.

I don't know what you are basing your opinion of Smith on right now, but from what I have heard, it is not accurate. He has not had a good senior season, and his stock has slipped. At this point, it seems very possible that he could wind up at a MAAC program. In fact, I don't think there are any programs that are actively pursuing him at this time.

McNeil can get a little selfish, but he knows how to run the show. His passing ability is tremendous. Obviously a point guard isn't a pressing need for Hofstra, or they'd be pursuing them. They have Souffrant and just brought in another pg from Florida this year.
