Subject: Game Coaching

I did not intend to get Big Saint riled up or to try to create panic over this team and it's coaching staff.. It is just that these kids are not sure what to do as a team when the opposition up's tempo and pressure sufficiently to take them out of their offensive rythem. They individually know how to respond, but that leaves the other four guys out of the play. That is when it appears that they are not on the same page of the book. They then need help in getting back on track, The coaches have to HELP them, GUIDE them, DIRECT them in a word COACH them. We are critical of the players, especially about turnovers, but some of that is a direct result of the players not having a plan to meet whatever the opposing team is throwing at them.
Try something else, and if that does not work try a different look. I feel the coaches do an excellent job of changing players untill they get the ones that are effective against the opposing players on the floor.
I [ at this point] like the coaching staff, [Lanier is intense and has a vision], but my impression is that they are a work in progress, the same as the team. My feeling is that when they both mature [coupled with the recruiting talents of Lanier] we will have a team that fans of all ages will be proud of.
Hang in there come March this team will be hard to beat as they will not be defeating themselves as they are now.
