Subject: Big week again for the Saints

obviously, the Stags come into town for the game on Monday, they are playing very very well, winning games in different ways and they have a ton of confidence (they also won a reg season game in Albany last year), besides sitting all alone on top of the standings at 6-0 in the league (STAGAL's smile is frozen on his face)...........and then LC Hounds visit us on Thursday, no much more to say about that as they are pathetic, so no chance Siena can be looking ahead to them.

But anyway, to analyze this as simply as possible.............Siena plainly needs this game more than the Stags, trailing the top spot at a 4-2 record, and at least need to stay within "1 game" of the leaders with a win, also remember Jaspers are 6-1 (they visit FF this week as well), so by winning these next 2 games, Siena will be able to be only 1 game out of first with 10 games remaining............now, this is not to say that the Stags don't want to win, or even that they won't play well, because I expect them to play very well, but it's about urgency and the game has all the makings of a good one...........the formula is pretty simplistic at this time of year for league match-ups, and that's protecting your home court, the two extra days to prepare are more than welcomed as well. Oh, and one thing is for certain, Lanier has already had the team watch last years MAAC tourney victory over FF (a few times) and understands the way to victory is not to hesitate on attacking their big guys or inside (since they block a bunch of shots), but to go right at them, as they are certainly not a physical bunch. Gonna have to bring a lunch pale and go to work for this victory, this will be no walk in the park or no picnic for either team.........but great for us fans to watch!!!!!!

Potentially, Siena could be sitting at 6-2 after the next two...........which keeps them very solidifyed for the top 4 come March............but next Sunday, they make their annual trip to the crypt known as the McCann Center.....it has been a while since Siena has won there.......and how ironic the Marist game is on Super Bowl Sunday, since the Red Foxes "always" view their games with Siena as their own personal Super Bowl no matter what the records dictate!!!!!!!

GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!
