Good article. I feel for Xavier, because their RPI is getting dragged down by the lower-echelon teams in the conference. Along with Fordham and Duquesne, Temple is having an off year and George Washington is down this year as well, which doesn't help. By the same token, Xavier has to help themselves. They've had plenty of opportunities to prove how strong they were this season, and have not taken advantage of a lot of them. They lose to Stanford, who isn't especially strong this year, get blown out and basically embarrassed by Mississippi State at the Garden, and have already lost to Richmond at home. They have to take care of business and win some of those games if they want better seeds in the tournament and more respect. Another thing- when was the last time Xavier won an NCAA tournament game? Did they win one last year?
