Subject: Report from Lewiston

Was at the game tonight - it was a fun one to watch. The crowd really got into it, especially after Darden's two steals as well as their perfectly played reverse jam alley-oop; that was probably the best play I've ever seen in a MAAC game...

Anyway, some thoughts about the game:

- Niagara looked very strong. The played hard most of the game, have some good shooters, and did a good job defending Haddix. They were especially aggressive when pressing - the Saints had trouble getting people open a few times. As for the Saints:

- Prosper looked like the POY candidate tonight. He had some great interior passes for open layups through traffic, hit big shots, and got big rebounds. He really led the team tonight.
- Both Justin and Brent played very aggressively at both ends of the court. Justin's slam was the hardest I've ever seen him go to the hole - he really wanted it.
- Haddix struggled getting into the offensive flow in the second half, mostly due to the Niagara D really collapsing on him. It looks like other teams are finally deciding not to let him beat them. But he played hard, not getting frustrated for the most part.
- The Saints had a little trouble getting lost in screens at the top of the key, leading to some open 3's for Niagara, although a lot of the credit has to go to the Eagles for their execution.
- Overall, with the exception of the two lazy passes in a row that Darden took away from the Saints, they played a complete game tonight. I don't know if it sounded that way on the radio, but I thought they looked good. I'm excited about staying up here to see the game vs. the Griffs on Thursday.

Let's Go Saints!
