Not really sure why I jumped down his throat. And after all, for a Big East program it is of high concern when they lose to MAAC clubs. They are expected to win those games. And Siena has not proven it's top-50 material, to be sure, so why should we ask for more at this point? But I think that looking back the only championing he did at the time was of Deane. He knew Deane was hot. That's what guys in Vitale's seat do - just look at Wetzel writing another factually flawed article regarding Manhattan and Bobby Gone last week.

But I will take your word for it regarding his support. I actually have never thought Vitale was a bad guy, just sometimes a nuisance. Sometimes I really like his passion, other times I want to mute the TV.
