I agree that the Iona frosh may not be spectacular, but a solid group of kids. I got to meet all four of them and they seem like good kids. Stevie Burtt has such a wonderful personality, and with any luck, will be a scoring machine like his Dad before he graduates. I'll be quite happy if Iona continues to get kids like our four freshmen from the CHSAA.

Trip to Albany -- no way! One of the reasons I came down here from NY was to get away from snow. It was in the 50s today here in D.C. and we are supposed to get more 50s temperatures tomorrow and Friday. I may be able to play golf on Saturday and Sunday if the snow on the course melts!

By the way, does Siena have internet broadcasts? I don't get Iona's very well due to my status as a dial-upper. I listened to the Canisius broadcast tonight.

I know Iona will be the underdog on Friday, but as I have always maintained with my fellow Ionians, I have no problem with Iona "rebuilding" rather than "reloading". While one of the best things about freshmen is that they become sophomores, another thing about freshmen is that they play with no fear (maybe too naive to be scared). These kids back down to nobody -- ask UNC!

Go Gaels!
