Unfortunately, while the mid-majors still exist, he is stuck in the difficult position of trying to pull some analysis of our situation out of his ass when he gets letters from people like Buzz.

If the mid-majors were gone, he could tell Buzz, "Sorry, pal, this column is only about the major programs, in other words, in my area of competence."

You gotta feel for the poor guy.
