It seems as though I may have to disagree, at least slightly, with the rest of the replies. As you may very well know, one of my favorite verses is Acts 18:9-10: "Speak out, do not be afraid, and refuse to be silenced, for I am with you." God said that to Paul, as he was about to go spread the Gospel to a place that he would normally be afraid to do so in. God sent Jonah to the most wicked city in the entire Earth-- the evil Ninevah. Christ himself tells us that He has sent us out among wolves. Suffering should not lead you away from harsh message boards like 656 and antichrist-- in fact, you should view suffering as a reward from God. Suffering is a natural result and punishment of sin, and the more you suffer, the less temporal punishment for sin you will have to make up for. Indeed, "rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy." (1 Pet 4:13) When you sit before Christ on judgement day, He WILL remember your sufferings for Him here on Earth.

However, if you have become so frustrated that you are at the point of anger and unrighteous condemnation, then separate yourself from these message boards. And if you are at the point where the non-Christians' comments are beginning to affect your faith or assurance of salvation, then listen to these words: LEAVE THE MESSAGE BOARD(S). Fate, I'm going to say it once more, not as a suggestion, but as a loving command: If anything affects your faith or assurance in Christ, stay away from it. I mean that. And don't blame yourself for having "low tolerance" or a "weak faith"-- thats just what non-Christians like you to think when you depart from them. In reality, many of them are simply looking to pull everyone, including you, down with them in their knowingly hopeless efforts to find happiness in themselves.

God wants you to reach out to the unbelievers--yes, even seemingly helpless ones like Mr. Moore, PB, and Whytar--but He doesn't want you to lose faith or to sin in the process. Remember always the theme verse of this site: "Stand firm in your faith, or you will not stand at all." (Is. 7:9b).

As for good arguments to counter their bland, old, and tired arguments, I would recommend this: Tell them to prove that their logic is infallible. If they attempt to, then say their logic must be fallible, because THEY are fallible. Hence, no matter what they say, they COULD be wrong. No matter how much they throw at you, know that you have an infallible book to draw dogma from, and you have an infallible God to tell you infallible Truth. They can't match that. No matter how good their logic may be, it can't be positively without error. Your's can. And even if they try to point out the "fallibility" of the Bible, realize that they are still doing so in a very fallible way.
