Where or who did you get your information regarding Placecraft boats? The real story is simple: Bill Place owned a Southwind jet boat in the early days. After racing for several years, he went to the "drawing board" and designed his own hull...the Placecraft hull. So your statement "going places was given to them from the owner Don Jennings" is incorrect. The fact is Bill Place (my dad) bought a boat (not given) to him from Southwind boats, decided to make his OWN design and open a Company called Placecraft Boats. Therefore you statement: "going places
was given to the from the owner Don Jennings and they
made there own copy." is also incorrect do to the simple fact there was never a copy made of any boat that was made by Southwind, or anyone for that matters.
I hope this clears thing up.
