If you have been subjected to corporal punishment, and seriously abuse of pre schoolers, you better your parents/guardinas to cart the monsters to the court and let em deal her/him. Corporal punishment went out the window 25 years ago.

> oooh lordy the pain!!!!!!!

The pain from sticking foreign matter up our bodies may be frightful, but having you taught by individuals with less then ten years education and three weeks of instructions in teaching and learning could be a concern. Why? Although there are proven studies of the advantage of vernacular language, knowledge formation of the main curriculas is harphazardy treated at this level, and could well be a concern at upper levels. The theory of vernacular schools/pre school is about capturing the inquistive mind of the child at the critical stage of the learning process. My fear is that if we let those at the lower rung of the teaching industry start children off at this stage, then we may well be causing irreversable damage of the childrens' learning and metal discipline.

If they are resorting to corporal punishment (an assumption of course)as way to motivate learning then you have the wrong people and PNG education is none the better.

Let not the era of cane, 4 by 4 and yard ruler education return.
