I always thought of Paul Ryan as a fiscal liberal. Back when Republicans used to speak out against raising the debt ceiling Paul Ryan sided with the Democrats to raise the debt ceiling yet again.

I focus on the urban core because of all the dysfunction welfare has caused with the breakdown of the traditional family. The whole baby daddy phenomenon infuriates me. Before LBJs war on poverty low income women married good family oriented men. Even the black marriage rate was sky high back then. Women couldn't risk mating with a bad boy type because of the poverty that would result. So poor women married the most dependable men they could find and the children were better off because they were raised by two loving parents.

With the welfare state poor women have no incentive to marry an ordinary man, even if he is responsible and stable. She will fiscally be better off on social programs than with the good guy. Besides she is more sexually attracted to the bad boy thug type so that is who she mates with. The bad boys become baby daddies, the good guys are lonely and without a family and the kids don't have a father in the home. The kids, especially the boulys grow ylup to be dangerous criminals, gang members etc. Who are responsible for the epidemic or inner city shooting we are having. If only welfare didn't exist, the children would have much higher quality father's who they would acrltually get to live with. Then they would grow up to be be high quality, high functioning people because they had the foundation of love growing up.
