I prefer not to spank as often, but when I do it's the back side of an oval wooden hairbrush. Not abusive, but definitely setting a fire that can't be put out. If there is a spanking with a soaping, the spanking is first.

That being said, I do involve a heavy utilization of soap in the girl's discipline. Mouthsoapings are fairly frequent and thorough.

I normally start by soaking the ivory bar for the offender/s ffor approximately 15 mins in warm water. It softens it for its purpose. During the wait, the daughter, if not whining, will put her hair up, an older shirt and make sure her watch is on for timing aspects.

I use their toothbrush, and coat the tongue, cheeks, roof and teeth. Always more than once. Sometimes more as needed for severity of infraction. Spitting and rinsing times also vary.

I'd be happy to tell of a recent soaping if you'd like. I'd like to hear more about the method your mother uses. It sounds as if it could be quite beneficial.
