Hi all. Just saying hi as I still see a few familiar names, and sharing a story. For those of you who remember, my stepdad came to visit over winter break, and a funny thing happened--according to Jo, when they were spending time together just the three of them, Amy was acting like a brat, and he said "Do I need to report you to Zoe." And they all laughed and Amy pulled herself together. This is such a massive change from two years ago when I was living there--there would have been anger and a paddling and resentment. I would never have though the two of us would come to mutual respect.

I'm writing my college capstone on experiences with modes of violence. There actually may be a lot more about spanking than I was planning, because people are a lot more willing to talk about their experiences with that than some more extreme modes I was originally considering as the focus. We'll see about approval of my proposal, and I'll share here if there is anything interesting.

Hi Zoe,

Thanks so much for dropping in and letting us know that things are going well. The change in general atmosphere with your step-dad is amazing, and I'm so happy for you and the girls. Fingers crossed that things continue in the same way. I wish you much luck going forward. Your capstone paper sounds very interesting. Mine (a million years ago) was on the Vestal Virgins of ancient Rome. I daresay that yours will be altogether more useful and relevant, lol.
