Hello Louise!!! I mostly had shorts or sweat pants on. If it was sweat pants, Mom would lower bough at the same time with a smooth motion. If I was wearing a skirt or dress, yes she would reach up under it and bring down my underpants and then put me across her lap.
I think I would have rather done it myself and I did in my teen years.
