My kids have been and still are spanked in front of relatives and a few very close friends. There are times when Their cousins are also spanked with my kids.

My teenage sitters spanked in front of girl visitors. I remember when two of my playmates stopped by, and they told her that I always threw things at them, like sticks and apples, which was true. She told them she will fix that. She took my pants down right in front of them and a couple of other girls who were there. Then she spanked my bottom with the sit-spot paddle, and my front with the flyswatter. Then I was immediately told to go over and apologize to each of them,
despite being sore and red and rubbing everywhere, which they mentioned. And I stopped throwing things at them.
She also showed them a picture of me three years earlier with my pants down. They said "wow, everything sure got bigger hahaha" !

As someone who had had many teenage girl babysitters (I think she liked them in part because they were cheaper) I can tell you they are not all the same. Some are nice, some just watch TV and movies with you and don't do much actual babysitting. These types don't have it in them to spank. Believe me I have tested them. Then you have the ones who are totally power hungry and are totally bossy and b*tcby. Since they are teens this is mixed with brattiness. It's the worst of all worlds and these are the ones that spank. Unfortunately for me these were the ones my mother made regulars. She thought they were the ones doing their job.

I have been spanked by babysitters several times yet I guess I got lucky because it was never in front of anyone else. Just getting spanked by them seemed humiliating itself, especially because they were not much older than me. I became older but my babysitters age did not. Plus how do I explain this. I am used to my mom spanking me and something about it seems natural because it's in the family. But when someone else spanks you it's all the more amplified of an experience. A parent should have power over their children but when it's someone who is basically a peer you really lose your pride and realize you have no power.
