Yesterday a roofing repair company left their ladder up and the hatch open while they left for lunch. A few boys thought it would be fun to go up on the roof. When some of the kids on their lunch hour heard about the boys on the roof, several of the kids followed. Unfortunately, 2 of my kids went up on the roof. They were all caught and made to get off the roof immediately. All 27 kids were sent to see the principal. Besides given a note from the principal to be signed by their parents they all received three swats of the paddle. I am sure just like my two they also received a good spanking from their parents. There are several kids this morning having problems sitting for their breakfast. My 17-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son not only have sore bottoms this morning but are also grounded this weekend.

But your parents could clear more with the principal - so I always got 10. But that always meant a bare bottom spanking when I got home, typically with the hairbrush or belt. But if it was really bad, I was sent outside to cut a nice switch.

The only thing they can do is read a book or do homework. They are allowed out of their room to use the bathroom and to come for meals in the kitchen.

Hi Anna,

I understand and glad you are not my mom, aunt, or a friend of my mom. Reason being, I do not think I could stay inside my room for an entire weekend. Staying inside the house is bad enough.

Knowing you give time in the corner and sometimes a really early bedtime after a spanking, how do you decide in the corner, early bedtime, or grounding?

Anna,

Would your son and daughter tell the other kids involved how they were punished at home, and would the other kids reciprocate? Teens don’t like talking about spankings they get at home, but in this case, “We’re all in this together.” Maybe they will talk. I was surprised to read that girls climbed the ladder to the roof. Good for them. Not afraid of heights. Dangerous and stupid, but adventurous.

The day they were all lined up outside the principal's office waiting for their swats, a lot of them were saying that they were going to get it at home or my mom/dad are really going to give it to me when I get home. The next day at school there were a lot of students squirming in their seats, to include my two. In talking with my daughter, it sounds as if all 27 were spanked at home. This being a Christian school that believes in corporal punishment, I would guess they all did. I spoke to a few mothers that their child is friends with my kids, and they all said they blistered their child bottom.

I wonder if that is a record for 27 kids getting paddled at the same time at school.
