Subject: USS Mystic - No sound, and no shields were defenseless captain.
In reply to: Steamrunner 's message, "Mystic - No sound unless external SCSI hooked up" on 06:44:57 02/17/02 Sun

Got this thing at a swap meet, and it reeked of tobacco until I cleaned it a little but there was no shield in the bottom where the systemboard goes. I think I have a shield from a Mac SE that I could cut up but I wouldn't know how to shape it or where to ground the shield to. Like I said I can use headphones or external speakers.
I am still getting application errors on programs that work fine on my Quadra's and PowerPC, Bad RAM? I have a 16mb stick in now but I have tried a few different SIMM's 8 and 16mb with the same result. I am running 8.1 and will try 7.6.1 but I really like 8.1 better. Will see if there is a difference. My Quadra's and the PowerPC all run 8.1 without the same problems that this thing is having but overall it is working fine.
