For $2600 plus whatever it costs me to ship an SE/30 to Japan and back, they damn well better do a nice job, especially when I can buy a used Rev. A iMac for $400 or less and a 10.4" flat-panel for a couple hundred more.

Then again, I don't think $2000 in labour for a conversion of that magnitude is too farfetched. Figure even at $40/hour, which seems to be very much on the low side for work requisite of this skill level, that's 50 hours labour, and you have to consider their R&D costs in getting the thing to work in the first place, which I'm sure wasn't simple.

Not $2600 I (or probably anyone else on this forum) am going to be spending any time soon. Or ever. But it *is* nice work.
