ISTR a discussion on the compact macs list a while back.

People were talking about using bleach-based cleaners:

1. Testing bottom of case first,
2. Keeping the applying cloth moving quickly and evenly over the surface,
3. Washing very thoroughly immediately.

ISTR some people putting the bare shell in the dishwasher first and then after the cleaning, to ensure all bleach removed.
