I found the destination for the 26-pins connectors on graphics cards I've been considering to use for LCD upgrade - this includes ATI cards with DVI/DFP, Voodoo and GeForce.

Unfortunately this connector has nothing to do with LCD attachment. It accepts video signal from secondary cards like MPEG decoder card or TV-card. Therefore one of the possible ways of LCD upgrade decribed by me before - fell through. I really doubt that someone will be crazy enough to trace digital video signal from the graphics processor on a card before it goes to DVI/DFP transmitter chip. Anyway - this will require high-precision soldering which is not possible with most non-professional equipment.

BTW, this fact eliminates one of the websites (pointed out from some japanese sites) as succesful LCD upgrage. This site is also mentioned on Stuart's PowerCC website and URL is http://www.tangal.com/lcdclassic.html (I hope Stuart will update it on his website). Please BEWARE - the information on this URL *IS* incorrect and having graphics card with DFP and LCD is not sufficient for LCD upgarde. And it's not possible to create wiring from DFP signals to the LCD as the chap on that website says.

Therefore I will try one of other ways to LCD upgared and will keep this forum informed about the progress (and of course I'll try to post the complete solution on Stuart's website if he will not mind :-)

Alex
