What a fascinating correspondence!

I'm in the same position - 6500 board fine, 5400 and 6400 boards fail to boot properly. 6200 board fine.

Now we know that 6500 boards produce their own 3.3v supply, I suspect a PSU issue. Just need the time to address it. Will take seriously the comment re a high power 5v line being needed.

Many thanks to MISUTHiKU for all the help we're getting, even if we can't join CCSCC!
