It sounds like someone has been doing some fiddling inside the case --- and all of the problems sound solvable.

The geometric alignment can be done with the instructions on Takashi Imai's website --- the diagrams are lifted directly from Apple's Service Manual.

You'll notice during the alignment that there are additonal controls on the left of the chassis that have not been used. Those controls are for adjusting the color.

Explaining how to do a color alignment is beyond the scope of this reply, but it's not that tough. Get a copy of the Service Manual from the web and it'll take you through it step by step.

When you're done, the pix will be square and the color cast will probably be gone. (Hint - adjust green down, and/or red/blue up)
