Subject: (6500/225 vs 6500/300) + G3 ?

I'm considering to buy a 6500 from ebay to wrap up my PCC. And I'm sure
I'll also maximize it with the fastest G3/500MHz/1MB. Since it will
be accelerate with G3, does it make any difference between using
5500/225 vs 6500/300 ?

From Apple online spec, I found the 5500 has only 1 PCI slot (I
wonder why the 5500/225 requires 60ns RAM while 6500/300 requires
70ns ?). But that's more than enough for me as I don't plan to
add PCI and I think the CC is too small to fit 2 PCI.

And, does the over-clock of the mainboard help to improve the
performance ? I don't think so. So, using slower motherboard
may help to reduce power consumption and heat. Am I right ?

Further, regarding to adding an PS, the Q&A here confuse me. It seems
there are different configuration to add. Can any experienced user
consolidate a best approach for such PCC/G3 ?

Thanks a lot.

SK
