You are welcome but I am not sure anyone except my boy understood my concern and, in his case, only after a long discussion.

I certainly understand but that doesn't make it right.

Everyone is entitled their opinion. She was obviously angry and handled the situation poorly. Unfortunately, this happens sometimes. There is much we don't know from this video.

1. Does this happen often? Not the discipline but the manner in which this occurred.
2. What happened before the camera started? All we saw was a moment in time without any real context.
3. What happened after the camera stopped?

There is a tendency to take videos like this at face value and for people to assume they have the whole picture. In my opinion, that is seldom the case.

I agree that it should not have been shared, but it should not have been made either. I hope you don't miss the central point I was trying to make. What upset me personally was the impact this had on that family.

The family may have issues that need to be addressed. The internet is not where that happens. That is the role of family, friends, neighbors and congregants in their church. People who actually know them and interact with them.

It truly hurt my soul to think of the pain that family is going through and will be for some time.

Matthew thinks you are good person and despite any other faults he may have, he is generally a good judge of character. I temper that with the fact that neither of you truly know each other beyond what I would describe as "pen pals".

I certainly don't want you to feel bad for being inquisitive and curious. I just want you and Matt to expand your emotional circle to everyone effected.

Matt was very insistent I reply to you. I hope this satisfies him and is helpful to you. May God bless you and your family.
