Last night we had a family event where I meet lots of cousins and second cousins I had never meet.

One of my cousins who there are photos of holding me as a baby had two sons. Both boys were fairly quiet and shy. They were really tall, over six foot. Later in the conversation I heard the Dad say the eldest son was 6'2.

I did ask the younger brother what year he was going into and he said Year 12. In New Zealand our school year is February to November, so he would have finished his first year of senior exams, so he would be 15 or 16. This guy was only a fraction shorter than he is older brother. He was was wearing jean shorts and t-shirt, his legs and arms were like like sticks. So he was very skinny. Pretty sure his older brother was just as skinny but he had zip up hoodie and baggy jeans. Both lowered over Mum and Dad.

The older brother was even quieter than his younger brother and hardly spoke. Only learnt about him through what his parents said. His parents said that he was studying game design and was into his music and film. I reckon he has probably just finished his first year at University, so probably 18-19.

At one point I noted the Dad got his eldest son to get up and walked him towards the bathrooms. Dad had his hand on his son's shoulder. There was a corridor to the bathrooms. The ladies you could see but the men's you turned around a corner and went out of view. There was nothing there but a single men's toilet at the end of hall.

They were gone for a few minutes and then the son walked out first head down. Dad immediately followed behind. I doubt the son had medical issues that required assistance using the bathroom but you never know, so I wondered if he was taken to the bathroom to be spanked.
