1) I am guessing that your second cousin's parents pre-warned you as to his behaviour and gave guidelines as to what was permissible.
No discussions with his parents regarding his behaviour.

2) Did his stay put you off the idea of hosting him again? Or did the positives outweight the negatives?
No but not sure if it would happen again.
